By doing this it was hoped that it would introduce the sport to be a safer sport and to try and promote the mainstream of the sport. Mixed Martial Arts has seen a huge increased in popularity and has been rivalling other sports to become level or more popular than them. The increased popularity in Mixed Martial Arts has seen the numbers paying for pay per view to watch the sport has now seen it rival with sports such as boxing and professional wrestling.
